SUMMER SLIDE LECTURES
Every summer for the last 20 years, Santa Fe Clay has brought guest artists from the national field to teach in our Summer Workshop Program. These artists each present a slide lecture on their work that is open to the public. This is a wonderful opportunity to get a taste of the work being done by an exciting group of ceramic artists from across the US.
Brenda Lichman received her BFA in ceramics at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, and her MFA in ceramics from the University of North Texas, Denton. She is currently Adjunct Lecturer/Graduate Faculty at Wichita State University, while maintaining an active studio practice. Her work has been broadly exhibited across the country in notable exhibitions, such as the 23rd Strictly Functional National, and 50 Women: A Celebration of Women’s Contribution to Ceramics. Brenda’s work has been published in books such as Surface Design for Ceramics and 500 Teapots, Volume 2. “Brenda Lichman-Balance and Versatility” was featured in the December 2014 issue of Ceramics Monthly Magazine. She believes in bringing people together through art, food and pottery.
