NEW CARTOGRAPHIES OF SMELL MIGRATION – OPENING EVENT
SITE Santa Fe is pleased to introduce New Cartographies Of Smell Migration | Santa Fe, a multi-sensory sculptural installation by Colombian artist Oswaldo Maciá. This immersive installation celebrates movement and migration through sound, smell, and sight.
“It is a real privilege to introduce Oswaldo Maciá’s New Cartographies of Smell Migration | Santa Fe to New Mexico,” says Louis Grachos, SITE Santa Fe’s Phillips Executive Director. “The subject matter of this installation not only engages all the senses but also addresses timely global issues of migration and cross-pollination in an innovative and inspiring way.”
New Cartographies Of Smell Migration | Santa Fe opens Friday, October 1, from 5-9 p.m. in conjunction with two other exhibition openings at SITE Santa Fe, SITElab 15: Joanna Keane Lopez: Land Craft Theatre and Creative Residencies: Johnny Ortiz. Festivities will include musical performances by Nizhonniya Austin and ¡Hijo! and food by Fusion Tacos in SITE Santa Fe’s entrance courtyard and lobby.
