NATIVE BEE WALK
Native Bee Walk
Tuesday, June 19
Railyard Community Room
Join Dr. Carril on a walk through the park, as we learn about declining native bee populations, their diminishing habitat, and the urgent issues of habitat loss, lack of nutritional resources, and pesticide use with the resulting environmental and human impact.
Dr. Olivia Carrill is a PhD plant biologist who has been studying bees and the flowers they visit for nearly 20 years. Olivia is also co-author with Utah State biology professor Joseph Wilson of “The Bees in Your Backyard.”
We will meet at the Railyard Park Community Room and then proceed into the Park.
