Herman Maril – Opening Reception

Herman Maril (1908–1986), often known as “The Dean of Baltimore Painters,” is a nationally recognized Modernist artist. Maril’s work is distinguished by his simplified figures and objects, reduced to their essentials. Maril’s paintings are also noted for his use of a simple, but eloquent color palette.

LewAllen Galleries is pleased to present an exhibition of rare works by Herman Maril entitled, “Scenes from Mid-Century America,” which opens Friday, March 10 and remains on view through April 8, 2023. An opening reception will be held on Friday, March 17 from 5–7 PM.
